Howi Spangler is amongst the best songwriters in reggae today, and Ballyhoo!’s guitars consistently shred so freaking hard!

Enjoy every second of the journey with The Resinators’ new single, “Anthem”. The San Diego-based band is pushing boundaries with their blend of reggae, rock, punk and funk, and I’m really enjoying this head banging track showcasing the group’s cohesion and passion.

EnjoiSka sends a reminder to keep an open mind in “Times are Changing”. The ska rockers stem from California’s Morenno Valley, and share an important message to respect each other’s cultures.

Rock dream team, Callisto has formed made up of shredders from bands like Ballyhoo! and Bumpin Uglies. The band dropped its first single, “This Is Awkward” today and plans to drop a full album in April. Callisto is expanding from its reggae roots by infusing punk and grunge into a new sound that we’re excited to hear more of this year!

Kyle Smith heads into rocking Winter and Spring shows with Iya Terra, The Movement and Bumpin Uglies. It’s been so fun watching Smith’s rise over the last few years. He’s playing huge shows from Cali Vibes to Cali Roots, and his hard work and hustle playing shows around the country year round is earning him a well deserved following.

“Cut Slack Girl” showcases The Resinators’ ability to flawlessly blend reggae and punk rock. The San Diego reggae rockers continue to perfect their jamming sound and I’m really vibing with this single. The band caught up with Daily Reggae to reflect on the song’s meaning.

Reggae rockers Fayuca are teaming up with Jakob Nowell and Jason DeVore (Authority Zero) on the upcoming “Winter Vacation Tour 2023”, with stops across Florida and two gigs in Arizona. Fayuca has such an amazing sound and it will also be rad to see Nowell and DelVore play these shows!

Kyle Smith is set to kick off his “Hurry Up N Wait” tour tomorrow in Las Vegas, Nevada. The reggae rocker is legendary for his hard work mentality and his tour will also reach New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Florida and North Carolina. Smith will support The Slackers on a tour date in Austin and George Spits with Llamabeats is the opener.

Ballyhoo! has put a fun reggae spin on the blink-182 classic, “Dammit”. I love when reggae bands bring new life into punk rock gems and since Ballyhoo! naturally blends reggae and punk rock, they were the perfect band to do this song justice and breathe new life into the jam.

Ventura, California’s Overgrown (aka Daniel Alvarez) blends reggae and punk rock in the jamming new single, “I Don’t Mind”. I’m absolutely loving this laid back tune, and especially appreciate Overgrown’s talented guitar showcased throughout the song and the clever lyrics. The hook is especially catchy and Overgrown is able to highlight his on point vocals - both singing and hip flow wise.

Tunnel Vision perfectly blend reggae and punk rock in the terrific new album “Baja Bound” released by LAW Records. If you’re looking for some good vibes, rocking guitars and to day dream across the border to beautiful Mexican beaches, turn this album up!

When you’re inspired to listen to music, different vibes come to mind. Sometimes you look for a chill laid back sound. Other times, you look for an inspirational message.
