Reggae and rock fans are going to fall in love with the new Ballyhoo! album, “Bad Summer”. Good music is good music and Ballyhoo! is so locked in. This album leans into the band’s punk rock roots, but reggae fans will enjoy it just as much.

Ballyhoo! does a brilliant job of writing relatable tunes that will have you nodding your head while singing along to Howi Spangler’s melodies. The LP’s title track is a perfect example of this catchy reggae rock meets punk rock blend.

There as 12 rocking tracks showcasing the band’s top tier production, shredding guitar solos, and beach vibe energy.

Some of my favorites are “Happy” ft. Saxl Rose, “Cali Girl II”, “and “Slowly Dying”.

We’ll be singing along to this album well beyond Labor Day. Ballyhoo! music extends across all seasons in my book.
