The reggae music genre has so many incredibly talented artists around the world. There are numerous up-and-coming artists in today’s scene and it’s so fun to see their rise. These artists really caught our attention this year! Here are the Nominees for the 2025 Daily Reggae “Rising Artist of the Year”.

The Jamaican artist is able to inspire listeners while taking us on a journey from growing up in Jamaica’s Spanish Town to life today on the stage performing in front of fans in Kingston.

The single and EP were released by Easy Star Records ahead of Royal Blu’s upcoming album. The track has a powerful riddim, and I love how it shares a memory of when Protoje invited Royal Blue to perform his first live show in Kingston!

Follow that unique connection with Royal Blu’s “Stranger Twice”. This is such a sexy track blending reggae and pop music vibes.

Find peace of mind following “Storm Showers” with FRIDAY NIGHT CRU ft. Akina Eman and Royal Blu. This gorgeous new tack is well deserving of Song of the Week with its unique and soothing riddim and fire vocals / delivery across the single.

Navigate your way through darkness with Royal Blu’s “Light My Way” ft. Kabaka Pyramid and The Autos. This is without a doubt one of the most powerful tracks of the year, and features a big time sound and message.

Get the party start with Common Kings’ “Celebration (One Shot)”. These reggae rockers always bring so many chill vibes, and I’m so excited to jam out to their new album, “Celebration” due out Aug. 25 via Island Empire / Mensch House Records.

While every great festival must come to an end, and although we have reached the final day of Cali Vibes 2023, I still had a full day of great artists ready to please the ears of thousands awaiting me.

Royal Blu, The Autos and Roe Summerz spotlight the issue of gun violence in “Artillery”. The powerful and timely single was released by Easy Star Records and positions Blu as an up-and-coming thought leader for the Kingston community. The lyrics tell a visual and inspiring story sparking a call to action.

As you slow down this weekend, turn up “Will of Jah” by The Autos and Nick Sefakis! The single released by Easy Star Records is so irie and we love the instrumentation of this track. The song has a beautiful message to live in the moment and we love the teaming of these artists.

New Mexico’s Tico Time Reggae Fest features reggae stars Black Uhuru, Etana, Collie Buddz, and Dezarie. The four-day and night camping reggae music festival kicks off on May 19th and according to the festival producer, Rasta Stevie Smith features a new, adventurous venue located in Aztec, New Mexico. If you’re looking for an opportunity to explore the four corners and take in a weekend of awesome reggae music Tico Time looks like a blast!

Royal Blu and The Autos have collaborated on a new song called Dancehall Session, and it’s a vibe! The single was released by Easy Star Records and will definitely have you dancing. Dancehall Session is a great song to turn up at your next party.
