J Boog has gathered some of Hawaii’s best artists for the new track “Fire Up Di Roses” Just in time for 420 weekend, J Boog, The Green, Common Kings, and Fiji have come together for this laid-back track. Rounded off by the smooth production of J-Vibe, this is the perfect track to kick back and relax too.

Holo Holo Music Festival returns to Las Vegas in 2024 with stars including J Boog, Iam Tongi and The Green. The three day festival organized by Good Vibez Presents and Live Nite Events will run April 26 - 28 at the Downtown Las Vegas Event Center.

In honor of Common Kings releasing “Celebration”, this edition of Song of the Week is Queen Majesty by Common Kings feat. Sammy Johnson and The Green. The cover of the classic track written by Dennis Brown and Curtis Mayfield has been floating around for a few years, but the Common Kings version it is so good it deserved a spot on a full length album.

The Green are celebrating Hawaiian Language Month by challenging fans to translate a verse from one of their songs. What a cool idea! If you know the Hawaiin language, or are interested in learning it, bringing The Green’s music into the fold is the perfect way to build your language skills!

The Big Island’s Reggae on the Runway features an amazing lineup including The Green and Anuhea. The one day festival takes place on November 19th and tickets are still available. The Green have teamed up with Allen Stone in a gorgeous “Coming Home” Remix. The single was released by Ineffable Records / Easy Star Records. The original song is the fifth track on The Green’s amazing 2021 album, “Brand New Eyes”. Teaming up with Stone brings the tune a new feel and the vocals are phenomenal.

HIRIE has released tour dates for the upcoming national “Mood Swing” tour, which will feature special guests Ballyhoo!, KBong & Johnny Cosmic, Surfer Girl, and Vana Liya on select dates. The tour kicks off in California on October 5 following the release of HIRIE’s “Mood Swing” album dropping September 30. We are SO excited for this tour and to listen to HIRIE’s latest studio album!

Hawaiian singer-songwriter, Dillon Pakele showcases the power of perseverance in his new EP, “Faith”. The EP released by Pakele Entertainment honors Dillon’s father and features six beautiful new songs blending island reggae and R&B.

The creation of songs can originate from many places. Sometimes it's from an interaction an artist observes between strangers, and other times it's about a world the songwriter wishes would exist. Music is made with the intention of making people dance and enjoy a party, and albums have been written solely about breakups or falling in love. Perhaps the best songs are created when an artist reflects on the current state of their life and pours their heart out in the form of lyrics and music. On their sixth studio album "Brand New Eyes", Hawaii's The Green have done exactly that. A level of maturity and sober reflection rings throughout this album. The complexity of what the world can throw at our human hearts and how we handle them is not an easy thing to unpack, but throughout the songs on "Brand New Eyes" the band is able to accomplish this task as well as any honest person could. The multiple songwriters and four singers of The Green share their genuine perspective over fantastic instrumentals throughout "Brand New Eyes" and have created a record truly special.

Matt Irie Band describes its sound as “island infused gritty blues” and we cannot agree more with that description. The band’s new single, Coastal, highlights the bands’ reggae-rock vibe and brings a fresh sound to the reggae scene. Turn this track up and you’ll feel the rocking guitars, reggae riddim, a cool drum pattern, and Matt’s cool vocals.
