Photo recap: Sublime with Rome Live in Dallas, Texas
The Summertime 2023 Tour featuring Sublime with Rome, Slightly Stoopid, The Movement, and Atmosphere, strolled through Texas for a few stops, making its final Lone Star State appearance in Dallas at the Toyota Music Factory on July 23, 2023.

Down to the last performance of the night, Sublime with Rome took the late spot and had the house absolutely overflowing with ecstatic fans. They definitely had the advantage when it came to the stage lighting; being an open amphitheater style venue, the sun was coming directly in the back of the venue and onto the stage most of the night and had disappeared by this time.
During the first few songs, Rome’s in-ear monitor system wasn’t working correctly (you could see his frustration immediately), but it was fairly entertaining watching the stagehand delicately chase him around during the performance to change out his gear so as to not stop the show.
The show was everything I had imagined it to be. Fans were bathed in multicolored lights all night as the sounds of Sublime – new and old – saturated one hundred percent of the airspace in the venue. The vibes were high and the music was on point.
All of the artists on this tour crushed their sets. It’s a great time to be a fan of the American reggae scene right now. With plenty of new stars rising and established greats leading the way, tours like this are the outcome and I look forward to every show I can make it to!
