Pacific Roots is hitting the road this January for the band’s Still Standing tour. The Santa Cruz, California-based reggae-rock band will play 12 cities spanning Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. Pacific Roots brings such irie vibes to every show they play, and we love rocking out to their music.

California-based reggae band, Rebel ShakeDown, has dropped a cool new music video for the band’s song, Rewind. The music video will transport you to a California day cruising in a convertible, hitting the beach, and watching live reggae music. Rewind is the first song on the band’s 2019 album, Hometown Love, which you should definitely check out!

Bobby Hustle and Asha D have teamed up in a new EP, The Right Place, and the vibe is irie! Bobby has definitely earned the hustle in his name and continues to consistently drop great music. The Right Place is a six-track EP that showcases Bobby Hustle’s songwriting and heart.

The creation of songs can originate from many places. Sometimes it's from an interaction an artist observes between strangers, and other times it's about a world the songwriter wishes would exist. Music is made with the intention of making people dance and enjoy a party, and albums have been written solely about breakups or falling in love. Perhaps the best songs are created when an artist reflects on the current state of their life and pours their heart out in the form of lyrics and music. On their sixth studio album "Brand New Eyes", Hawaii's The Green have done exactly that. A level of maturity and sober reflection rings throughout this album. The complexity of what the world can throw at our human hearts and how we handle them is not an easy thing to unpack, but throughout the songs on "Brand New Eyes" the band is able to accomplish this task as well as any honest person could. The multiple songwriters and four singers of The Green share their genuine perspective over fantastic instrumentals throughout "Brand New Eyes" and have created a record truly special.

Ballyhoo!’s Howi Spangler released a beautiful new instrumental album titled Aberrations. Dailyreggae.com caught up with Howi to learn about the creative process behind the 13 track album, and how the production of Aberrations differed from his work with Ballyhoo! and other artists.

Trojan Jamaica recently dropped an irie new remix of Small Axe by U-Roy featuring Jesse Royal. You have to check it out! The song was remixed by Trojan Jamaica’s co-founders, Zak Starkey and Sharna “Sshh” Liguz. Royal teamed up with U-Roy to record the song, a Bob Marley classic, before his passing.
