2025 truly was a massive year for reggae. From traditional roots reggae tracks to innovative cross genre sounds, reggae music fans had so much new music to connect with. Here are the tunes that really grabbed our attention. These are the 2025 Daily Reggae Awards “Song of the Year” Nominees.

2025 was another action packed year across reggae, dancehall and reggae rock. In true form the reggae community came together through incredible collaborations and inspiring live performances.

The South Carolina reggae-rockers dropped the new track just in time for the 4th of July Weekend. The upbeat song reminds listeners to not be defeated by life’s obstacles but to “let the river guide you”. Musically the song features a fun, Indian-influenced riff that keeps the pace moving and vibes high.

Mellodose teams with ANORA for a light and airy “Ocean Breeze” The song is the opening track to Mellodose’s latest EP, also titled Ocean Breeze, and features Mellodose’s recognizable blend of reggae and hip hop. The easy-listening track is taken to the next level with guest vocals by ANORA, and the two artists blend seamlessly for a beautiful track.

Following last year’s inaugural Daily Reggae “Best Of” Awards, the Daily Reggae team is excited to announce the second annual Daily Reggae “Best Of” Awards.

Song of the Week is back with a super fun, doo-wop inspired reggae song by SOJA featuring HIRIE. The easy listening track is perfect to loop on repeat, with smooth horns and Trevor Young and Jacob Hemphill trading vocals throughout. Read more to stream the track!

This week’s song is “Hope” by Kolohe Kai. In his newest single, the Hawaiian artist pleads for peace in his signature smooth delivery. The rocking reggae instrumental was produced by Noah Cronin of Sea Major Seven Studio and provides a slight edge that drives the message home. Stream “Hope” now!

Start your Sunday with the Daily Reggae Song of the Week “Test of Time” by Phil Watkis. Watkis returns with a beautiful, subdued melody that will surely be stuck on repeat.
