As we’ve been discussing, reggae is making major waves around the globe and reggae music is inspiring people in a major way while pollinating across genres. Here is our list of the top producers bringing beautiful reggae music to life in 2023!

Joey Calderaio puts a reggae rock spin on Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero”. Now, I’ve said it before, it’s no easy task covering a song, especially by T Swift! But Calderaio does a magnificent job making the song his own and breathing some reggae vibes into this pop hit.

One Culture is an amazing Virginia Beach band bringing together the best of reggae, rock and dub. The band’s new album “Forward, Always” is inspiring in so many ways and I especially love the band’s thoughtful lyrics that transcend emotions and their impressive guitar playing throughout the record.

Chile reggae legends Gondwana and the incredible E.N Young & Imperial Sound are set to start their Volver a Sentir tour tomorrow in San Diego! The 14 date tour will reach cities in California, Oregon, Washington, Canada, Utah, Colorado, and Texas. Volver a Sentir loosely translates to feel again, and there is no doubt these musicians will be sharing their amazing vibes!

Ras Rebel uniquely blends his love of reggae and hip hop music and the artist’s latest single, Cali Love, is a perfect embodiment of the ‘Ragga-Hop’ style. Rebel wanted to bring new life to Dr. Dre and 2Pac’s hip hop classic and shine a light on his home state. Rebel grew up in Southern California’s Port Hueneme and teamed with E.N Young on Cali Love’s production.

Joey Calderaio’s latest single puts a fun reggae twist on The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights. Hearing Calderaio’s take instantly has us envisioning one of his live shows and his fun energy!

Start your week by listening to Th3rd Coast Roots’ stellar Have You Ever EP! We’ve been rocking out to the Houston-based band’s five-song EP, which features The Elovaters and Likkle Jordee. Th3rd Coast Roots’s reggae-rock sound will bring you so many good vibes, hope, and inspiration to love the life you are leading. We love the band’s songwriting and the way Have You Ever makes us feel.

In 2021 we've had the pleasure of covering incredible new releases from the all stars of the reggae scene including Rebelution, SOJA, and Paula Fuga, as well as fantastic up-and-coming talent in the likes of Marcus Gad, The Late Ones, and Kyle Smith. On December 17th one of our favorite rising artists, Joey Calderaio is dropping a wonderful album titled "Moving Mountains (Deluxe)" just in time for the holidays. An accomplished musician in the Florida reggae scene, Joey quickly started growing a fanbase with the release of his 2019 EP "Moving Mountains". In the following two years, he released well-received singles, with his hard work and positivity culminating in the new "Moving Mountains (Deluxe)" album release.

Sensi Trails continues to release incredible new music, and we are totally vibing with their latest single, My Universe. The band dropped an out-of-this-world music video for the single directed by Quinn Murdy, and you have to check it out!

One Culture has teamed up with E.N Young and inspire good vibes in their new single, World To Change. Change in the world is constant, but believing in a path of positivity is so crucial. We love the beautiful message that One Culture and E.N deliver in World To Change. The song features powerful lyrics and vocals, an irie riddim, and a dub vibe that has us playing this jam on repeat.

Gonzo continues to release incredible music and we are feeling his latest love song featuring Jamaican reggae band, EarthKry. Do You Feel Me? is a love song we can all relate to about the possibility of reconnecting with a special someone.

E.N Young recently released a new shirt with a throwback ‘strictly roots vinyl mix’ tape cassette design. The artist and producer said in an email to Dailyreggae.com, “When I was kid my brother Mike (Strictly Roots) and I hunted for new reggae (vinyl, cds, downloads) and we would make mix tapes to bump on the go! I had stacks of mix tapes and they were vibes!!”

Iya Terra released their new album, Ease & Grace, and we have been jamming out to it all weekend! Ease & Grace follows up the band’s 2019 album, Coming To Light, and beautifully showcases their incredible reggae riddims, shredding guitars, and songwriting. Ease & Grace features reggae superstars including Steel Pulse, Tribal Seeds, Stick Figure, Mike Love, and Alborosie.

Looking for some musical inspiration as you get the week started? Definitely check out Monterey, California-based reggae band, Rise Up, and their 2021 EP, The Pursuit! The five-song EP shows off the band’s cool vibe, rocking guitars, grooving keys, drums, and vocals. Portland, Oregon-based reggae band, Nine to Fyah has released its debut album, Age of Influence, and we are absolutely loving the album’s sound, message, and inspiring songs. Age of Influence features eleven songs including three dub versions and as Connor George, the band’s bassist puts it, the emerging band fuses feel-good melodies to infectious reggae rhythms. KBong dropped his grooving new album, Let Love Lead, today and it’s our favorite KBong album to date! Let Love Lead follows up KBong’s 2018 album, Easy to Love You, and communicates a super positive message. The new album features Mike Love, Mellow Mood, Iya Terra, and Flowmads.

We cannot wait until Iya Terra’s new album is released! The band has been working with E.N Young on the album and has dropped some incredible songs like Ease & Grace and Price You’ll Pay featuring Tribal Seeds. We All Walk Our Own Roads featuring Trevor Hall is another beautiful song that we are really enjoying!
