This month marks Bob Marley & The Wailers’ final live performance. Over forty years have passed and Bob Marley’s legacy and worldwide impact are felt every day. Reggae music is loved by fans around the world and it’s incredible to feel the love that reggae transmits giving people love, hope, and inspiration. Researcher and author Martijn Huisman has been dedicated to paying tribute to Marley and reggae and this week published a new book titled: The Reggae Nation: The Global Legacy of Bob Marley & The Wailers.

According to a release sent to Dailyreggae.com, “The Reggae Nation tells the story of the worldwide legacy of Bob Marley and his contribution to the international reggae community. As a global history of reggae and a reggae travelogue rolled into one, The Reggae Nation takes readers on a unique journey through time and space. From the bottom of the Grand Canyon to the frozen heights of the Himalayas in Nepal – and numerous places in between on all continents – the comprehensive volume tracks the roots and routes of reggae and Rastafari and explores the global presence of Bob Marley and the Wailers. With a foreword by Roger Steffens, reggae archivist and author of So Much Things to Say: The Oral History of Bob Marley.”

Huisman’s MH Books published the 432-page hardcover, which features nearly 300 photos. Proceeds from book sales will go to the non-profit organization HELP Jamaica!
