TroyBoi has dropped his first reggae production teaming up with Jamaican dancehall artist Chris Marshall in the new song, GYAL. GYAL is a very fun dance song and it’s vibe definitely has us wanting to turn this one up during our next house party.

According to a release sent to Dailyreggae.com, “GYAL follows the release of his V!BEZ Vol 4 EP earlier this year featuring tracks with Tropkillaz, Nina Sky and NEFERA, “Red Eye,” a production for Justin Bieber which appeared as a bonus track on his latest album Justice, an 80’s roller disco-inspired track “You’re The One For Me” with DESTRUCTO, a remix of Brazilian sensation Anitta’s “Girl From Rio (featuring DaBaby),” and his latest “BUSS IT.”

TroyBoi is definitely keeping busy and it’s awesome to hear about his love of reggae music and the inspiration behind creating GYAL!

In the release TroyBoi said, “I’ve loved reggae music from a very young age. There is a huge West Indian community in the area that I grew up in South East London so I would alway hear the music being blasted from my neighbours houses or in the local shops I’d go to. I remember my parents played a lot of Bob Marley and UB40 in my house so it definitely inspired me greatly in my future productions. When I met Chris, we vibed extremely well in the studio and his vocal talents made it easy to create the music to accompany him. I’ve always wanted to make a reggae track and we’re both so pleased with how it came out. When it comes to my music, I’m always ready to experiment, to step outside of the box and evolve my craft.”

Dance to GYAL this weekend and send the song to your friends! Check out GYAL’s creative music video directed by Will Selviz: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Veo-TqL2hjE
