Protoje really brings it in his new album “Third Time’s the Charm” released today. The Jamaican musician marries the best of reggae and hip hop and shines so bright! Take the track “HILLS” for example. Protoje’s flow is so powerful and he brilliantly reflects on living a simple life away from distractions. Throughout “Third Time’s the Charm” you’ll be impressed by Protoje’s vocals, messages of positivity, well produced riddims and on point instrumentation.

Speaking of genre leading musicians, Protoje teams up with Jesse Royal in the song, “Family”. The drum beat on this song alone is so nice, but pairing together Protoje and Royal is beautiful. I love how both artists prioritize family and sing about the importance of a family first mentality.

The irie bass line drops in “Incient Stepping” and Protoje shows off his ability to both sing and flow in a hip hop style. Protoje emphasizes the importance of loving your community.

Dreamy Eyes” is a fun dance track and love song that picks up the pace. I especially love the reggae guitar and Protoje’s expression of true love. This will be a fun one for the dance floor!

Lila Iké sings an infectious hook in “Late at Night” and Protoje reflects on the need for change and the removal of danger in the streets. This is such an important song and a call to action for people to prioritize love and not hate.
