Aurorawave’s Monument: Reggae Meets Metal with No Apologies

Some bands flirt with fusion. Aurorawave kicks the door down. Their new album Monument isn’t a concept—it’s a collision, where roots reggae meets metal muscle, and both come out louder.

Eleven tracks deep, and five in particular punch through the noise. These aren’t just songs. They’re proof that reggaecore is more than a mashup—it’s a movement.

“Seize The Day” (ft. The Movement) Starts smooth, almost sunny—The Movement’s warmth leads the way. But under the groove, tension bubbles. Reggae rides upfront, while heavy guitar shadows the corners. It’s a calm before the storm.

“Throwing Shade” (ft. Jesse Royal) This one hits different. Jesse Royal’s fire meets Aurorawave’s wall of riffs. It’s melodic, and raw—a sound clash that somehow feels natural.

“Never Gonna Stop Us” (ft. Ekoh) Ekoh comes in blazing—rapid bars, relentless flow, riding a beat that flips from dub bounce to metal breakdown. It’s gritty, fast, and built for movement.

“Turn The Page” No features. Just the band doing damage. Offbeat rhythms crack against heavy chords, and the space between beats feels razor-tight. It’s controlled chaos—and it works.

“Keep The Faith” The closer’s got weight. Less about aggression, more about endurance. Reggae’s spiritual roots come through, backed by deep distortion and defiance. A final stand.

Reggaecore Grows Teeth

Monument doesn’t play by the rules. Aurorawave takes two powerful genres and builds something new—not softer, not safer, but sharper. Louder. Realer.
