Keepin’ those summer vibes alive, Collie Buddz is here to share his fourth studio album with the world.

Take It Easy is a fusion of that island-vibe reggae he’s known for, swirled with a mix of dancehall and hip-hop flavor to spice up your playlist.

Finding his spot in the scene over 15 years ago, Buddz has kept busy finding success with every release he’s been responsible for.

This particular album is a true testament to everything he and his camp have been working towards.

Its twelve tracks represent the creative growth and progress he’s made in this industry as a top-notch artist, producer and performer, as well as being a solid addition to his growing discography.

Some of these tunes will sound familiar having been released over the past couple years as singles here-and-there (“Close To You”, “Brighter Days” and “Hold Firm”), with the latest being the title track, “Take It Easy”.

They live comfortably amongst all the new offerings for your ears to soak up, some joined by a handful of seasoned collaborators on the project. B-Real of Cypress Hill burns up a verse on “No Bush Weed”, an upbeat herbal anthem paying homage to that Cali high-grade, while Bounty Killer lends his voice on “Twisted Agenda”, reminding the masses of the fight between good and evil over a plant that doesn’t deserve the stigma created by the so-called authorities.

The variety of sound and tempo between the songs combined with the smoothest delivery of lyrical punches from such a unique vocalist is exactly what I’d hoped to hear when I learned there would be a new Collie Buddz album on the horizon. Speaking of horizon, the album cover art depicting a beach scene with a single palm tree supporting a hammock says it all. This LP will have you digging your feet in the sand, watching the sun disappear into the ocean as you finish an evening spliff.

Taken from a recent press release, Buddz sheds a little light on his perspective of the new album: "I feel blessed to be able to continue my musical journey. I poured my heart and soul into this project, and I'm thrilled to finally share it. I especially love how the album came together consisting of multiple writing and recording camps around the world with some of my favorite people. 'Take It Easy' is a celebration of life, love, and the power of music to unite us all. I hope it brings joy and positive vibes to everyone who listens."

Released on Harper Digital, the majority of the album was produced by Collie Buddz himself, with help from Jason “J-Vibe” Farmer, Bobby Konders (Massive B) and Fatbabs. This collection of songs is a clear snapshot of the musical flavor Buddz wants to be known for, while also being a commitment to bringing you the highest of the high-grade listening experiences. Take It Easy is available however you stream your music, so stop reading and get to listening!
