Bobby Hustle is far beyond a proof of concept. Although I appreciate the talented MC’s humility, I’d describe Hustle as a force to be reckoned with in the best way possible.

He is releasing some of the best reggae meets hip hop music on the planet and deserves an even bigger audience, and the artist’s new album, “Proof Of Concept” is a beautiful collection of new music spotlighting his songwriting, energy and passion.

Let’s start with the opening track “Rock My Boat”. This riddim goes so hard and extends beyond a traditional reggae beat bringing in hip hop and electronic vibes. Hustle writes and delivers some of the most heartfelt hooks in the scene, and is able to transition them so smoothly into the hook. It’s the perfect song to kick off the album as Hustle talks about addressing obstacles head on and finding ways to survive.

The fire riddims continue in “Reggae Days”, a fun song that can get any party started or rocking! I love Bobby Hustle’s passion for reggae and his hustle as an independent artist and when you listen to this song you can’t but help but feel grateful for reggae and healing power it delivers. Hustle does an amazing job delivering that feeling in this track.

Mountain” is an irie track featuring Mikey General that celebrates love and life. The duo of Bobby Hustle and Mikey General is such a vibe and this song is yet another example of Bobby Hustle’s music being some of the easiest listening music you’ll listen to.

If you’re looking for a tune to inspire some reflection and that sends a reminder that it’s important to to take it easy and have some personal time, turn up “Right Now”.

Lutan Fyah, Loud City, and Hustle team up in “Loyal To The Soil”, a jam that will make you appreciate your longtime friends that have had your back since day one. Loud City is Hustle’s frequent contributor and this a great example of the fire beats they are creating that Hustle is able to flawlessly build dynamic songs on.

Love Me Like You Do” is a chill love song about the ups and downs of love and celebrating that special someone. I love the guitar in this track, and Hustle’s singing on the hook. This will be a really fun one to see Hustle and his band perform live!

One of my favorite songs on the album, “Free Up”, which is another magical song, brought to us by the collaboration of Bobby Hustle and Loud City. Bobby Hustle makes feel good music and I love the way he celebrates life, through the ups and downs, and this is another song showcasing Hustle’s flow and unique vocal deliveries.

As Good As It Seems” is a stellar track that crosses reggae, hip hop and pop music and once again proves Bobby Hustle is not a proof of concept - he’s a patented artist at the top of his game and his work ethic is continuing to introduce his sound to audiences around the world. It’s all well deserved and more greatness is ahead - no doubt.
