Protoje honors Bob Marley in the catchy new tune, “Legend Legend”. I had the privilege of hearing Protoje perform this track at Cali Vibes, and the riddim goes so hard! Protoje lays down his patented smooth vocals, and it’s one of those songs that makes you proud to be a reggae music fan!

The “Slightly Dirty Summer Tour” 2024 brings together reggae rock giants Slightly Stoopid and Dirty Heads. This tour is going to rock, and kicks off on July 11 for a 23 stop nationwide journey! Both bands are at the top of their games and beautifully blend reggae, rock and hip hop influence.

This week’s SOTW comes from the recently released self-titled debut album by the Dukes of Roots; “Stick with Love" is a beautiful collaboration between the band and legend Stephen Marley.
True to their name, the track is grounded in roots music, but the band pushes towards a modern and unique sound featuring dueling vocal melodies and electric guitar.

Start the party off right with “Why i” by Mr Mego! When I first heard the riddim it reminded me of a song by The Weeknd, and then when Mr Mego’s vocals come in you immediately appreciate the singer-songwriter’s energy and amazing voice.

Backstreet Boys “I Want It That Way” gets a reggae spin by Conkarah. This is just one of those songs that will always take me back to my younger days and I know many people feel the same way! Hearing the classic in reggae from is such a vibe!

PROFILE: Florida’s Seranation continues cooking up catchy reggae rock music. Daily Reggae caught up with Florida reggae rockers, Seranation, to learn about the band’s jamming new single, “Not Today”, it’s fun music video, and the group’s new music on the way!

If you are unfamiliar with New Zealand’s SUB-TRIBE, its time to get acquainted. The innovative reggae group recently released their latest EP, Midnite Sun, and its proving to be some of their best work yet. Holo Holo Music Festival returns to Las Vegas in 2024 with stars including J Boog, Iam Tongi and The Green. The three day festival organized by Good Vibez Presents and Live Nite Events will run April 26 - 28 at the Downtown Las Vegas Event Center.

Siaosi showcaes his flawless voice in the beautiful love track, “Rock Wit’cha”. The talented artist covers the song made famous by Bobby Brown, and puts a pitch perfect island vibe on the tune.

Kick back with this edition of Song of the Week featuring “Lucky One” by The Holdup. Rolling Stone recently published a must-read article for any reggae fan! The article titled, “25 Riddims That Have Defined Jamaican Music” was written by Patricia Meschino and does such an incredible job diving into the history of reggae and detailing the intricacies of reggae riddims released over the decades!

Dukes Of Roots is set to drop the band’s debut album on Feb. 28. They have quickly become one of my favorite reggae bands on the scene and bring such a soulful and conscious message to their songs.

Sharon Marley and Big Youth have come together for a new track full of love and nostalgia. The heartwarming song is the first Gong Gyal Production and it is distributed by Tuff Gong International. The video is directed by Sharon’s daughter, visionary Donisha Prendergast!
