This week our Daily Reggae Artist Profile will be featuring the amazing Dan Sheehan! Dan is one of the most important people in the reggae scene today and is responsible for the California Roots Music & Art Festival! To accompany his profile, Dan requested Cygnill do a song breakdown of Anthony B and Massive B’s killer track, Back To Normal.

On April 30th, Street Rockaz Family released the TK Riddim featuring four songs from artists including Anthony B, Mr Williamz, Stranjah Miller, and Ilements. The TK riddim is a catchy riddim at the intersection of reggae and hip hop. It’s fun listening to a compilation like this one and to hear each of the artist’s unique spin on the music.

One of the incredible things about reggae is the community and collaboration between artists. We are loving The Green’s latest single, Feelings, featuring J Boog and Gyptian. The drumbeat on this song goes hard and features cool verses by Gyptian and J Boog. We’d love to see The Green perform this song live with J Boog and Gyptian soon!

Tempe-based reggae musician, Cygnill has released a new EP in collaboration with Uhlma Stnur titled, Touch the Sky. The EP released yesterday features three cool songs: Full as the Moon, Move on it’s okay you’re good, and Take a Chance.

Following the recent release of its World on Fire (Instrumentals) album, Stick Figure in collaboration with Prince Fatty bring us another unique take on Stick Figure’s classic songs through the Fire & Stone (Prince Fatty Presents) album released today.

Talented singer-songwriter George Prophet released a beautiful new album titled, Perfect. The album released in February 2021 showcases George’s voice, catchy hooks, and passion for reggae. Dailyreggae.com caught up with George to learn about his journey in music and to learn about his style of music, “Pop Lovers Rock”.

TreeHouse! recently teamed up with Iya Terra’s Nick Sefakis and released an irie new song called Bring it to the Light. We are loving the vibes, super cool guitar riffs and positive message. Summer is inching closer, and Space Kamp is bringing the good vibes in its latest single Waiting for Summer, which is making us envision a sandy beach and warm sunny day. Space Kamp, made up of Oskee and Adoo, truly has a unique sound connecting reggae, hip hop, and rock music. It’s exciting to hear Space Kamp is also currently working on a new album called Butterfly Effect (BE).

Jamaican reggae musician, Jesse Royal recently released a fire new single Rich Forever featuring Vybz Kartel. The song was released April 16, 2021, and the same day Royal’s sophomore album, Royal, was announced. Royal is scheduled for June 11th and will be released via Easy Star Records.

Cygnill caught up with Pacific Roots at Viva Iriezona to chat about their new live album, Pacific Roots (Recorded Live at Felton Music Hall) released by Ineffable Records on April 23, 2021. If you’re looking to rock out this weekend and feel good vibes, you have to check out the album! We are totally digging the band’s vibe and the live recording sounds super cool.

When you listen to the album Never Give Up by Dub Drums you hear the passion in JDR’s voice, feel the creative drum beats hit, and are taken into a unique musical experience. The album released on April 11 blends rock, pop, dub with a touch of reggae. We enjoyed vibing to JDR’s passionate songs. Some of the songs are strictly instrumental while others feature JDR singing.

Sunrayz delights in his newest song, Back to the Island! Back to the Island showcases Sunrayz’s chill vibes and relaxing ukulele playing. After listening, we are ready to pack our bags with sunglasses on, sandals on our feet, and a Red Stripe in hand!
