Talented Jamaican artist Samory I has teamed up with producer Winta James in the powerful new single, “Blood in the Streets”. The song released by Overstand Entertainment and Easy Star Records pushes for a safer and more peaceful society. Samory I showcases his thoughtful lyrics and soulful voice over an inspiring riddim.

Reflecting on the song’s message, Samory I said, “’Blood in the Streets’ is inspired by the reality of Jamaican society today.... How violence plagues the ghetto and rural parts of Jamaica, contributing to bloodshed and the loss of lives. How poverty and desperation forces people into survival mode. They thirst for a better life, resorting to any means necessary to survive.”

Take in the importance message of peace and watch the track’s music video, which was filmed in Kingston, Jamaica. The video was directed by Ruption of RD Films.

Blood in the Streets” by Samory I is the Daily Reggae Song Of The Day.
