Operation Irie Has Begun — Reggae Rock Pays Tribute to Punk’s Golden Era
Pepper and LAW Records have officially launched Operation Irie, a genre-blending compilation that reimagines punk classics through the lens of today’s reggae rock scene.
Inspired by the legendary Punk-O-Rama and Warped Tour compilations, the project honors the raw energy of 90s and 2000s punk while spotlighting the vibrant community of artists keeping that spirit alive — with a reggae twist.
The rollout has already kicked off with two standout tracks: Pepper’s take on Bad Religion’s “Generator” and Little Stranger’s version of Green Day’s “Brain Stew.” New singles will continue dropping every week leading up to the full album release on October 10th.
The compilation features a stacked lineup including Nathan Aurora, Ballyhoo!, Surfer Girl, The Expendables, Cydeways, and Kyle Smith — each bringing fresh life to punk anthems in their own unique style.
