O! Jupiter’s debut album, “Illusions of a Cloud” is refreshing, dreamy and good vibe-filled!

Although the Chicago-based band is not reggae per se, it’s super cool that they are inspired by the sound, flow and lyrics of reggae artists like Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, and Sublime.

If you’re looking to expand your musical tastes outside of reggae, I highly recommend listening to these talented musicians blending pop, electronic and rock music.

Here are three of my favorite songs on the album!

Up So High” chronicles a journey and the fear that comes with something new. I love O! Jupiter’s visual lyrics and the piano and singing are gorgeous.

You’ll vibe with “Backpack to Colorado” and the hip hop style beat. O! Jupiter is able to deliver impressive vocals and the horn section adds a new dimension to this standout track.

Wasted Time” is a straight jam! The song crosses genres and is all around fun!
