Daily Reggae Album Review: Feel true passion and love by taking in “Spirits Eat Music” by SunDub

SunDub proves they are one of reggae’s rising bands in the new album, “Spirits Eat Music”. Take the title track as an example. You’re immediately brought in by the horns, smooth reggae guitar and vocal star power of Joanna Teters. To me, the track is a reminder that we are surrounded by support systems and to keep an open mind and heart to the love that comes our way, especially in the form of music!

The pace picks up in “New Ways to Love” featuring Peetah Morgan. This is a feel good love song with the island vibes I’ve been searching for!

Real Change” is a powerful reminder for us to channel our energy for a better world filled with peace and love. I love SunDub’s grooving bass line and the positive message of progress and the importance of freedom.

Even a storm or “The Storm” cannot take our focus and a clear mind away. This track is one of my favorites on the album and is a proof point Joanna is one of the best vocalists in reggae today. She carries the track in such a masterful way and the music is equally as good vibe filled. SunDub channels emotions and reminds us to fight for what we believe in.
