Buffalo-based ska fusion band Part-Time Genius released an awesome new EP titled Ducky that has us smiling with its breezy tunes and vibey horn lines.

The New York group is able to combine their favorite genres of ska, funk, reggae, and rock tastefully and with a groove that reminds of other East Coast greats like Dispatch and O.A.R.

The band is composed of accomplished and experienced musicians, which is evident in both the writing and performance of these tracks. We especially love the horn harmonies and how well the rhythm section works together. Lead singer Jon "Blufeather" has the perfect voice for the style of Part-Time Genius and is the glue that holds all of the amazing pieces of the band together.

We also want to note how cute and awesome the artwork for "Ducky" is. While we appreciate artwork done by amazing designers, it's hard to beat the awesomeness of a rad doggo. Ducky was recorded in Buffalo’s Ivyhurst Studios.

"Rock My World" is the Daily Reggae Song of the Day.
