Alborosie invites us on an inner journey with new album Nine Mile

Alborosie’s upcoming album Nine Mile (out October 24) isn’t just a tribute to Bob Marley — it’s a journey into the spirit of Jamaica and the roots of reggae itself.

“Nine Mile is not a physical place … it’s a journey within the magic of Jamaica,” Alborosie tells Daily Reggae. “The culture, the traditions, the vibe, the sounds… Obviously it’s Bob’s birthplace and that makes it even more mystical.”

Across the album, Alborosie explores a wide palette of sounds — from bossa nova and lovers rock to flashes of 80s rock — all woven together through his signature roots style. The result is a natural, cohesive project that feels both deeply personal and universally uplifting.
