Fans across the world will be flooding into Long Beach, California for reggae mega-festival Cali Vibes on February 4th-6th. From reggae royalty to the best new and upcoming artists in the scene, the lineup is absolutely packed with talent. It's near impossible to decide which artists playing next weekend to be most stoked about, but a fantastic place to start is with the amazing female artists playing at Cali Vibes you won't want to miss.

1. HIRIE

Hawaii's HIRIE will be rocking the stage on Sunday, February 6th. Known for her reggae-pop sound embodying the warmth and breeze of her island home, HIRIE has been steadily growing her name and fanbase for the past decade. It was with her wonderful 2016 album "Wandering Soul" that her music career really began to accelerate. She has since been sharing the stage with large acts such as Rebelution and Pepper, as well as being a headliner herself with a fantastic 7 piece band. We've been loving her recent release "Respect"!

2. Koffee

Perhaps the most exciting name on the entire Cali Vibes lineup is Jamaican superstar Mikayla "Koffee" Simpson. At only 21 years old, Koffee is already one of the biggest names in the entire reggae community. After first garnering attention from videos of her singing and playing guitar on social media, Koffee began releasing singles in 2017 and in 2019 released her critically acclaimed EP "Rapture". The EP went on to win Best Reggae Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, making her the only woman and the youngest person ever to win the award in this category. Koffee will be hitting the stage on Friday, February 4th with her unique and trailblazing vocal style.

3. Bikini Trill

The incredible reggae-surf-pop trio Bikini Trill doesn't need to travel far to crush the Cali Vibes stage on Friday, February 4th. The Los Angeles trio is fronted by talented vocalist Lauren "LJ" Johnson. LJ's beautiful voice sits on top of a musical blend of hip-hop drums, reggae guitar rhythms, pop progressions, and electronic production. Bikini Trill has quickly made a name for themselves since their first live show in 2017 SXSW which can be credited to their excellent stage presence.

4. Boostive

The up-and-coming San Diego music collective Boostive will be bringing their chill and refreshing sound to Cali Vibes on Saturday, February 5th. The band infuses the sounds of reggae, world, and soul music with a vibey and near-washed-out tonality that borders on the psychedelic. Boostive is signed to fellow San Diego natives Slightly Stoopid's record label Stoopid Records. If you haven't heard of Boostive before we recommend starting with their wonderful single "See I".

5. Vana Liya

East coast musician Nirvana Goberdhan (aka Vana Liya) is another female artist who has rapidly been making a name for herself in the reggae community within the past few years. She first began gaining notoriety after uploading covers on social media. After garnering the attention of both fans and music artists alike, Pepper signed her to their label LAW Records. She recently released her debut album "Little Kahuna". We highly recommend giving this album a listen, and for the full scoop make sure to check out our album review of "Little Kahuna”. Vana Liya will be joining the Cali Vibes stage with her awesome band on Friday, February 4th.
