Finding Tranquility in Turmoil, Clinton Fearon guides us to survival with positive vibrations

The smooth sounds of Clinton Fearon’s newest album “Survival Vibration” coolly reverberates and resonates through my mentality.

Throughout the 11 track album, “Survival Vibration”, Clinton Fearon’s message of Rastafari could not be clearer.

Each track delves into his harmonic teachings and meditations. Each impactful lyric is carefully crafted to impart wisdom upon the listener.

As I listen to “Survival Vibration” I feel tranquillity wash over me. The beats within this album are relaxed, bringing a chilled feel to the listener. T

he consistently rich pulse of the acoustic instruments, puts me in a calmed trance whilst listening to “Survival Vibration”.

Although Clinton Fearon initially wrote this album during the COVID pandemic, with all the madness that encapsulates the world in this current time, Fearon has created a positivity escape for a troubled mind for a multitude of issues.

The positive vibrations within each song deliver some respite from the constant drear of the world around. “Survival Vibration” encourages the listener to take a step back from the intensity of this existence and to remind ourselves that hope and positivity is powerful. Each song feels like a prayer, a hymn, with Clinton’s rhythmic voluminous chanting of his lyrics it's difficult not to recite his words with him joining him in his lyrical blessings.

The opening track sets the tone of the album, “Where Do We Go”, questioning the direction we as a people are heading. I get the sense Clinton included this song at the start of the album, to highlight the uncertainty we are facing due to the systems emplaced in societies.

The subsequent songs give us his answers to a better ethos in society.

Free People Chant” particularly stands out for me in this album, as he queries the situation the world is in. Clinton emphasises the attack and attempts of division that the masses are facing by nefarious poltrickians,“he’s trying to divide us, so he can conquer ''. They aim to compartmentalise the people in order to control them, pit them against one another and shed the blood of the innocents, “innocent blood in the name of politics”. Which is something that we have been witnessing on a daily basis.

Leggo Babylon” encourages to let go of the Babylon mentality and replace it with ideas of love and unity. I enjoy the relaxed riddim of this beat with the acoustic melodies threaded throughout the track, which is a theme throughout "Survival Vibration".

Clinton Fearon’s "Survival Vibration" is a true testament to Rastafari, each tune is filled with positivity, wise philosophically heartfelt lyrics and chilled rhythmic beats that guide you along a positivity path. I strongly recommend you to discover this album for yourself, as every track I found to impart a lesson or instil optimism within me.

I’ve really enjoyed listening to Fearon’s enlightened edicts reminding me there is still hope in the world to hold fast, to strive to continue, that love, positivity and peace conquers all.
