One of our favorites things at Daily Reggae is following the growth of a band as they evolve their sound, songwriting and production. Tropidelic’s evolution has been so fun to watch and the Cleveland-based band’s new album, “All The Colors” takes them from the big leagues to a true reggae rock heavy hitter.

Speaking of star power, Tropidelic partners with 311’s Nick Hexum in “Falling Down”, which beautifully blends an irie reggae riddim and Tropidelic’s jamming horns making a stellar rock anthem.

The band teams up with Brother Ali in the laid back tune “People Talk” an important reminder to hang on and only settle for good vibes! It’s fun how the band goes form a rock heavy song into a more feel good hip hop track. Of course, Ali destroys his verse!

Turn up “The Wind” and feel that irie bass line. Tropidelic has a patented groove and it feels so good closing your eyes and feeling the song’s high energy.

One of the songs I’ve shared the most across my friend groups this year is “Neighborhood”, which has Tropidelic collab with Krayzie Bone and Prof. This song goes so hard! We love the genre crossover and how Tropidelic perfectly blends reggae, rock and hip hop. This song is seriously so good.

need a sail” is another testament to Tropidelic’s unique sound and ability to change the pace mid album or set. The instrumentation on this track is so relaxing, especially the chill guitar and drum pattern. Matthew Roads’ vocals are superb and he shines throughout “All The Colors”.

Free Your Mind” featuring Surfer Girl has such a positive message and a fun dance party sound. We love this track.

Reggae music helps us free our mind and when you listen to Tropidelic’s “All The Colors” you are able to slow down and appreciate all the little things in life.
