In his latest album, “Hazel Eyes”, Hawaiian singer-songwriter, Kolohe Kai celebrates the beauty in life. Kolohe has such an incredible outlook on life and his positive energy is contagious. We love his passion, hearing his outstanding singing voice, and listening to his well crafted songs.

Throughout “Hazel Eyes”’ 11 songs, a smile will be brought to your face. You better make sure your shoe laces are tied or flip flops are fully on, because the album will inspire you to get up and dance in the moment!

We’d have to say our favorite song on the album is “I Think You’re Beautiful”. The song has become an anthem of self love and celebrates the diversity that makes us each so special. This is a song that we’d like to hear on the airwaves for the long run.

The album features primarily new solo songs by Kolohe, which will surely become fixtures in his live sets. We do love his collaboration with HIRIE in the feel good jam, “Feel the Sunshine”.

Always by My Side” is an outstanding island vibe filled love song that you might want to put on during your next date night!

The album’s title track, “Hazel Eyes” highlights Kolohe’s gentle nature, passion and fun flavor of pop-infused island reggae. Kolohe’s talent as a song writer and composer is so apparent on this track and we love it’s energy.

Kolohe is a talented guitarist and ukulele player and it’s awesome to hear his playing throughout the album. It makes us want to hear a live set asap!

Putting a new and unique spin on a classic is never easy, but Kolohe does it so well with the Stevie Wonder gem, “Isn’t She Lovely.”

Hazel Eyes” by Kolohe Kai is the Daily Reggae Song of the Day.
