Dale and the ZDubs breathe new life into ska with “Off the Rip”.

The Washington, D.C.-based reggae rockers first album since 2016’s “Tuna” completely delivers with rocking jams, vocals, and energy that will pump you up no matter the time of day!

The 12 track LP is one of my favorite releases of the year, and elevates the band to new heights.

The band teams with The Elovaters in the jamming love song “This Time”. The track has a hook that is so catchy and showcases the band’s incredible bass and guitar work.

I love the collab between Dale and the ZDubs’ frontman Dale Rodman and The Elovaters’ Jackson Wetherbee as they both lay down amazing vocals.

The pace picks up with “Pathological” a ska, reggae rock and punk rock song featuring fellow East Coast rockers Bumpin Uglies. The guitar hits hard and Brandon Hardesty delivers a memorable verse. Dale and the ZDubs is releasing their best music and this track is another reminder that they are at top of the ska game.

Dale is such a talented singer and his songwriting and vocals will take you in and bring all sorts of feels in “Dope Line”. Once again the guitar steals the show and the band’s locked in groove is fantastic.

The fast paced guitar and reggae meets ska action are perfected in the tracks “Off The Rip” and “Neighbors” featuring Ballyhoo! These tracks are so good and immediately make me want to see the band perform live! My fingers are crossed for a West Coast tour very soon!

The band’s eclectic sound is presented in the song “Her Melody” with HIRIE. This is another on point love song with a fun hook and riddim that will make you move your feet and dance. Of course, HIRIE does her thing and makes this one of the album’s stand out tracks.

More of the band’s stellar guitar is heard in the song “Brand New Hairdo”.

Dale and the ZDubs are releasing a unique blend of reggae rock converged with ska and man it sounds so freaking good! Deep lyrics, head nodding guitar licks and impressive Rodman vocals showcase the band’s high energy and big things are on the horizon!
