Excited to show the world what they’ve been working on, Lion Heights is back with a new, full length album titled False Reality for you to jam down on. Coming out of Austin, TX, the boys want to show you a new flavor of dubby goodness, and they’ve coined their own label for the music they enjoy to create; outlaw reggae. There’s so many satisfying layers to this collection, they’ve definitely hit a homerun with the making of this album.

The Elovaters continue their string of easy listening singles with the release of “M.I.A” The acoustic driven track gives a touch of country, with Nashville style piano and slide guitar, but longtime fans of The Elovaters will still clearly hear their recognizable sound. It’s a satisfying twist and the subtle mix of genres will keep this song on playlists all summer long.

Stick Figure’s new “Edge of the Ocean” music video features beautiful shots of Kauai. This is one of my favorite songs from Stick Figure’s amazing album, “Wisdom”, and it’s so cool how they brought the song to life through these visuals.

Experience Bob Marley & The Wailers classic, “Stir It Up” with the lively hip hop flow of Ghana’s Sarkodie. It’s super cool hearing the reggae classic with a new rap style twist!

San Diego-based artist, Skyler Lutes’ new album, “Never Leaving” is an absolute head banger! The album is a great reflection about happily following your dreams and staying true to yourself. You will definitely feel the heart that Lutes puts into his music.

“Rearview” by Pacific Dub ft. Ballyhoo! will set you free. I always love listening to Pacific Dub songs and am especially connecting with this single’s thoughtful lyrics and beautiful lyrics.

Hailing from Guinea-Bissau, Lisbon’s Kimi Djabaté is a talented artist that needs to be on your radar. Earlier this year, Djabaté released the beautiful album, “Dindin”, which is such an incredible listening experience. Djabaté is a guitarist, percussionist and also plays the balafón (African xylophone). His singing is very unique and peaceful.

Morgan Heritage’s new 21 song album, “The Homeland”, is a magnificent reggae music masterpiece. Throughout the album, you will smile, feel love and be taken by the band’s talent as storytellers. I decided to pick six of my favorite songs to reflect on in this review, but make sure to take to the time to dive into the album even deeper.

Reggae meets hip hop in Buju Banton’s “High Life” ft. Snoop Dogg. The legendary artists teamed in this irie single released via Roc Nation Records / Gargamel Music / Def Jam Recordings. You will absolutely love the track's riddim and laid back flows of Buju and Snoop.

Slightly Stoopid has officially announced the 9th annual Closer to the Sun concert vacation! With big names such as Stick Figure, Dirty Heads, Common Kings, The Movement and so many more, this is definitely a can’t miss trip. In partnership with Cloud 9 Adventures, the event takes place at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, an all-inclusive resort on the coast of Mexico, for four days and nights from December 7-11, 2023.

Paul Fox and FireVerse shine light on social injustices in “World We Living In”. Fox is a UK-based singer-songwriter, who is about to drop a new album, and is using his voice to call for action on important issues.

Alific celebrates the little things in “Every Reason” ft. Aaron Wolf. The track is dreamy, features cool effects and I appreciate the artist’s positive message about keeping your head up through the ups and downs.

Stephen Marley releases the beautiful and retrospective “Old Soul” via Tuff Gong Collective/UMe/Ghetto Youths International. The wonderful acoustic driven track is made even more powerful by the touching visuals including never-before-seen photos, album covers, and a collage of Jamaican music history.
